The Moatsu Festival in Mokokchung in Nagaland

It is a well-known neighbourhood event that fosters interpersonal connections. It is a big deal to commemorate this three-day event. In addition to making new acquaintances and exchanging gifts, villagers often build bonfires and prepare mouthwatering feasts.

Before sowing is done in the fields, a number of rites and customs are conducted throughout the festival. These three days off from their arduous work allow them to unwind, indulge, and have a great time. They relax after months of demanding farm work by singing and dancing to upbeat songs.
